We are an intermediate-advanced, PG-13 RPG. Don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions, and suggestions are always welcome! =]

The world is crawling with things that go bump in the night - most people just aren’t aware of it. They live out their lives in innocent ignorance of the supernatural society, denying the obvious when they see it. That is where the Watches - the Others - come in.

Watches Info « Thread Started on Jun 3, 2008, 10:36pm »
Others essentially live double lives. Many have jobs and families; pay bills; go to school. Being in the Watch isn’t like a regular job, where you work a set number of hours per day or week. Watch agents may go a week or two without hearing anything, then suddenly be given an assignment that takes up a good portion of their free time. Some assignments may have a monetary payment, others the only payment is staying in the higher-ups good graces.
At the core, the main difference between the Watches is in how their agents act. In both Watches, new recruits are gained regularly. Becoming an agent is completely voluntary, though is the only way for an Other to be trained in their abilities - most who try to self-train end up dead, consumed by their power. Others go through rigorous training in the history of the Watches and what is expected of an agent. Once a full agent, they are given various assignments. And, occasionally, are sent to assassinate an Other from the opposing Watch.
---- The Day Watch.
While Day agents might not love humans, they don’t actively seek to destroy the human population, and in general they work towards protecting humanity from the shadows - always watching but never noticed. Basically, they’re the good guys, and use their skills for gooddoing. They police themselves to make sure no agent goes rogue or switches to the Night Watch.
Assignments might include hunting down rogue Others or Night Others that kill excessively; training new Others; making sure all Others are behaving and not calling undue attention to themselves - like killing; sometimes seeing what Night is up to/killing Night agents; also work such as guard duty at headquarters or cleaning up after a killing (whether the killing was by a Day agent or a rogue/Night Other); gathering info on new Others, Night agents, and ones not in Watch; and recruiting more people for the Watch.
The Night Watch.
Night Watch agents could care less about humanity, and many hate or fear them. While they don’t seek to wipe humans off the face of the planet, they’re hardly careful about not hurting humans. Agents generally try to cause as much chaos and violence as they can among regular humans - what better situation to hunt and feed in than at times when humans are too busy worrying about their own problems to notice a few missing people. Like the Day Watch, they police themselves to make sure no agent switches Watches.
Assignments might include making sure no agent is too obvious at hunting or whatnot - they want to remain undetected by normals; taking care of rogue Others; recruiting and training new Others; getting info on and killing off Day Watch members; guard duty at HQ.
Structure of the Watches
The Watches aren’t extremely structured - it's very basic. And note, anyone except trainees may be called upon to train a new Watch agent.
*It's up to you to decide where your character will fall - I want to see a mix tho - not everyone can be 2nd or 3rd level. Also, if you want your character to be on the council or a head, please PM me first.*
Bottom Tier - trainees Level 1 - Regular recruit, goes on assignments Level 2 - People who give assignments to level 1 Others; also go on assignments Level 3 - Give assignments to level 2 Others; go on assignments Council - Made up of 7 members, they confer with the head on what should happen. They give assignments to level 3 Others, but only rarely go on assignments themselves Head - the head honcho, this person officially runs the Watch, but meets with the council about most decisions.
