General FAQ

Is there a way to get alerts when I get a PM?
Yes - go to pm preferences, and there's a check-box to either get an email alert or a pop-up alert for new pms.
What city is TO set in?
Silver Springs, Colorado
What age/year is TO set in?
Modern day - currently 2009

Watches FAQ

Are Watch facilities technologically up-to-date, or are they somewhat outdated?
Headquarters and training facilities are completely up-to-date, outfitted with whatever they need.
Do Others get paid for assignments completed?
It really depends on the assignment. Some are simply complete-or-face-punishment ones, and others may have a monetary payment.

Twilight FAQ

How does one get from one level of the Twilight to another, or in/out of the Twilight?
Search for your shadow, then imagine falling through the shadow and into the desired level of the Twilight (or back into the real world, whatever the case may be)
Can an Other immediately access level 2 of the Twilight?
No - at first you can only access level 1, and with hard work and enough power you may be able to move into level 2. Some never make it.
Is it possible to pull other people into the Twilight along with you?
Yes, it is quite possible to pull others in along with you, and same for pulling someone out of the Twilight along with yourself.

Species FAQ

Must a Shifter or Gifted enter the Twilight before gaining their abilities?
Yes - their abilities are unlocked by entering it, and therefore must enter the Twilight before their abilities emerge. As well, if they do not receive training shortly after their abilities will consume them.
Do Vampires age?
No - the age when they were born is the age they are stuck at forever.
Do Weres live longer lives?
No, they only live out a human lifespan. Only Vampires live longer.
Are Vampires immortal?
No, but they can live for a very long time.
Can Vamps and Weres be Gifted? Can a Were be a Shifter?
Yes, as can Shapeshifters. However, Weres cannot be Shifters or Vamps.
Can any Others heal themselves?
Vampires heal much faster than normal, though to fully heal they must feed. Weres can also heal lesser wounds by shifting, and of course there are healing Gifts out there.
Were-animals… -is there any way they can communicate when they are in their animal forms?
Some Weres can telepathically communicate with each other, but only when they are an animal and only to other Weres in animal form.
Do Shifters and Weres keep their clothes when they shift?
Yes, when a Shapeshifter or a Were changes back to human they are still wearing whatever they had on before changing shape. This only applies to clothes - nothing else. No earrings, watches, backpacks, etc.
